I love a good debate and to me, almost everything in life is debatable except, as they say,
death and taxes!

So, here is my question…

Is swinging "adultery" by definition?

Swingers, do not consider recreational sex to be adultery when they are, as a couple, in agreement
on it.

However, by definition, it would seem that swinging can definitely be
considered adultery.

Okay, earlier I posted the Top 10 Reasons To Become A Swinger, so, it's only fair
to "return the serve" with the top 10 reasons NOT to become a swinger.

1. Because you believe in and wish to honor your vows and the traditions of marriage.

2. To avoid the risk of .

3. To spare your reputation should your recreational sex activities be discovered.

4. To avoid disappointment should you not be "selected" or things don't work out. It happens. See this post at target="_blank">All Experts!

Couples who enjoy swinging and frequent swinger's clubs say that they love their partners but crave "recreational sex".

They claim that having sex with others is purely "for fun" and in no way diminishes the relationship they have with their spouse.

So where in such a relationship are the secrets that only two can share? Doesn't having "interchangeable" sex partners kind of take the personal intimacy and romance right out of the bedroom?

I thought that I would do a "quick" article on swingers and the swinger lifestyle. Wrong! When I began to research the topic, I discovered that recreational sex is a HUGE topic and very popular!

AskDanandJennifer.com conducted a poll on their web site earlier this year and the results were quite amazing…

A while back, I did a review of the Ashley Madison Agency dating web site.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Ashley Madison Agency, it is a web site that caters to a growing dating niche…married dating". Yes, married people are dating!

"The Gill Deacon Show", a Canadian talk show, did an interview with Darren Morgenstern, the owner of AshleyMadison.com and one of his clients. Both were attempting to justify their involvement with the site.

I found the video interesting, but what I found even more interesting were the comments below the video - proof that human beings are "de-evolving"! Judging from the intelligent responses, it is obvious that humans are losing their powers of reasoning and the ability to articulate.

I thought that I would check out the Ashley Madison Agency to see what was special about it.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Ashley Madison Agency, it is a web site that caters to a sometimes overlooked but growing dating niche…married dating. Yup, dating isn't just for singles anymore.

Since the site has gained a lot of media attention since it's inception back in 2002, I guess I was expecting something unique.

To be honest, I would have to say that I was disappointed and totally uninspired by my visit. Here's my overall impression…

The Pros…

  • You can create a free profile - no credit card info is need.
  • You are not required to give your name or your address so anonymity is guaranteed.
  • You only reveal information about yourself when the time is right for you.
  • The caters to people in the US, Canada, UK and Ireland.
  • There is this cute little "panic button" at the top of the page that allows you to "escape" to a sales page for a Fax Machine should someone enter the room.
  • Although you can purchase a 3 or 6 month membership which allows you to initiate contact with others, you can also "pay as you play" buying credits as you need them which might be cheaper. You can purchase 100 credits for $55. An email message to a new contact costs you 5 credits while a 20 minute instant messaging session will cost you 10 credits.

The Cons…

  • I found the site design to be very amateurish and unappealing. I guess it shouldn't matter, but it did to me. Maybe I just hate the color purple, I don't know.
  • The profiles were uninformative, focusing mainly on what type of sexual encounter you are looking for. I guess that stands to reason though. The purpose of the site is to help you find your next "roll in the hay" not a . Who cares if you're into surfing right?
  • Photos are rare on this site so there's not a lot to look at. You have to initiate contact based on profiles and unfortunately, many of them have little or no original content on them. Doesn't give you a lot to go on. Call me superficial, but I want to see who I am talking to because, I am sorry, but, looks do matter! Even if it's only a . Who wants to waste time chatting with someone only to find out, you really can't stand looking at them?

On the bright side, if you are married and looking, want anonymity and results, check out the Ashley Madison Agency.

I signed up yesterday. I put absolutely nothing in my profile and I already have 26 messages:

"I can't wait to show you…
How I am going to rock your world!"

Just because I wasn't impressed with Ashley Madison…doesn't mean you won't be! They must be doing something right…they've been around for 5 years.

Rock On!
