Life Is Short – Just Do SOMETHING!

The Ashley Madison Agency has taken a bold and brilliant approach to it’s advertising.

Wow! That just kind of says it all doesn’t it?

It seems that this billboard is causing quite a stir among the locals in West Hollywood where some people feel that this blatant promotion of infidelity is just going “too far”.

Too far? In Southern California? Are you kidding me?

Anyway, a handful of people are protesting in an effort to get the billboard removed. Their plan is to prevent people from ever seeing the Ashley Madison website.

Sorry to rain on their parade but…

By protesting, and drawing media attention to the billboard, these people have played right into the hands of the Ashley Madison marketing geniuses. Not only have they drawn national attention to the billboard, they have promoted the site to a magnitude that they can’t even imagine!

How do I know? In the last three days, since ABC News reported the story about the new Ashley Madison Agency billboard in West Hollywood, my traffic has tripled. The reason? Everyone is searching for Ashley Madison.com!

If you didn’t know about the website that promotes cheating before, you sure as hell do now!

The billboard was aimed at luring cheaters in West Hollywood and area to their site. Makes sense. Southern California should be an easy target with their free wheeling lifestyle. But now, thanks to the efforts of a small group of people, they have successfully gained the attention of scores of cheaters both nationally and internationally.

So even if they were by some chance forced to remove the billboard, they have thousands of new, paying members all thanks to one billboard and a small group of angry people.

Mission accomplished. It’s brilliant!

So brilliant that one Chicago lawyer followed suit and created a ruckus of her own…(see Letter of Retraction)

So, the moral of this story is…

Life is short! Do SOMETHING!

Well, actually, I think the Ashley Madison folk heard of the Chicago lawyer who received a lot of publicity last spring, and emulated her. Either way though, seems foolish to make a big deal out of something like this – it only adds to the publicity storm. Corporate media just loves them some controversy.

For the record, I think both of these dustups are funny as hell: the US is so repressed.

Swanksalot, you are quite right, Ms. Fetman did put her billboard up before the Ashley Madison Agency did. I should have paid closer attention to the date! :|

      Thanks for stopping by.

    4. Out there says:

I think Ashley Madison is great. it gives us another way of catching our husbands cheating!

    5. Earl says:

I think Ashley Madison is a great idea. People who are against it should look at their own lives instead of judging people who cheat. A lot of people are in marriages without sex. When one partner deprives the other of sex (Whether intentionally or unintentionally – lets say due to illness) , they should expect to be cheated on. But the person being deprived of sex may not want to get divorced. So a site like Ashley Madiosn can help them get sex, without getting divorced.

I think that ashleymadison is absolutely disgusting. People cheating on their spouses? What if they were to catch a disease *HIV* and give it to the other trust worthy partner who has done nothing wrong but been monogomous * or however it is spelled* and loving to this person. I understand that certain people will cheat but i think that it is wrong for someone to start a website condoning such a thing. Smart business idea? maybe, getting money and publicity. Morally this is wrong and everyone knows it deep inside. They can try to argue against it saying they will cheat anyways but i think this is absolutely morally wrong. If you are no longer in love with the person you are with, do yourself and the person that you are with a favor and seperate.

Life is short, make it shorter with aids!

    8. Mr Secret says:

Don’t worry about Ashley Madison s site as it’s fake anyway I set up an account for research purposes and found that 93% of the profiles on there are Bots or just made up profiles that never reply. I am arranging for members who have signed up to the site and who are un-happy about the service that they paid for to make claims for there money back. So the next publicity they receive will be Very Bad indeed.
