Beware Of The Cyber Affair!

Never believe that a cyber affair is anything less than a serious threat to your relationship.

"I didn't mean for it to happen…it just did."

Have you ever heard that from a spouse or a partner who cheated on you? The chances are very good that they were telling the truth.

It is possible that…

A simple that made them feel confident and sexy, got a little out of control and in the heat of the moment, they said nothing when they should have said "no".

A few drinks at a social event may have led to impaired judgment and their first (and hopefully last) encounter with a "one night stand".

I am not excusing bad judgment, just saying that it may not have been intentional. When people interact with each other personally, things can happen. To err is human!

But a cyber affair?

To me, a cyber affair is premeditated. You may have arrived at a "" with innocent (or not) curiosity, but in very short order, it is apparent what the guests in the chat room are there for. Anything beyond the initial visit requires intent and planning.

When the actual does happen, (and it almost always will) it is no accident because you have spent days, weeks or months online, intentionally cultivating this cheating relationship and betraying your partner or spouse.

Beware. Although the Internet opened up a whole new world to us, not all of it is for the better!
