By now everyone has heard about Detroit's very own Kwame Kilpatrick.

You know, the city's "Hip-Hop" player mayor that, like so many other politicians, has found it impossible to keep his pants zipped and his fingers from text messaging his lover on a city issued pager.



As Carlos Mencia would say: "Dee dee dee!"
Not the brightest crayon in the box now are we?

What is it with politicians and their "aides"? Is there some official clause that says "upon taking the oath of office thou shalt be entitled to illicit associations with females of thy choosing without fear of recrimination." ???

An 11th commandment maybe?

Must be in the fine print somewhere because these idiots all seem to think that they are above reproach! That is, until they get caught. Then remorse is the order of the day.

The thing that cracks me up the most about Kwame is his determination not to resign. You have to hand it to him…the guy has kahunas! Or…he's dumber than a bag of rocks for believing that his citizens will stick with him on this ride!

"Over the past few days there has been some speculation about who's in charge of the city. Make no mistake about it, since 2002, I have been in charge of the city…through it all I remain in charge of the city…"

"Over the past few days there has also been a lot of speculation about me resigning from office. Let me be clear tonight. I would never quit on you, ever. We've got a lot of work to do and with your help, I am going to continue to lead this city in getting the work done…"

"Detroit, I am determined that we will keep moving forward…I love you and I will see you at work tomorrow."

Wow! Thanks Kwame! The citizens of Detroit will rest easier knowing that more of their hard earned tax dollars will be spent in your defense!



And then there is Mrs. Kwame, Carlita Kilpatrick…pleading for consideration…

"Most couples who work through their problems in their marriage, are able to do so privately. Unfortunately, that option is not available to us. Our family has endured the most painful and intrusive week of our lives. Our most intimate issues have been laid out for all to see, for all to comment on, for all to dissect and analyze…however, this private matter is between me, my husband and god…"

"As his wife, I know how committed my husband is to the city of Detroit. I am asking the citizens of this city to be committed to him and our family and to the continued growth of our city…allow our family the space and the privacy that is essential to anyone when they work through these very personal issues…"

I hate to be insensitive Mrs. K but…your husband "sext messaging" his Chief of Staff, Christine Beatty for a couple of years stopped being a "private matter" the minute it cost three police officers their jobs and the citizens of Detroit roughly 9 million dollars. And…it was done on a city issued pager remember?

There are also questions to be answered about "Strawberry" - Tamara Greene, the stripper that you may or may not have assaulted when she may or may not have been discovered at a party that may or may not have taken place in the Manogian Mansion just before her murder…

So let me see…there's perjury, obstruction of justice, conspiracy, and misconduct in office, not to mention more accusations, more investigations and very likely more of the tax payers dollars wasted on your behalf.

That's one less paved road for Detroit!

Safe to say that people probably don't give a damn if you and Kwame work out your problems.

What they would like to hear is just how much more you two are going to cost them.

You know…
"The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth"…???
