John Reese Is Making Friends And Influencing People!
October 22, 2007 - B-Day!
Wow! John Reese, the creator of BlogRush is on a roll today. He is making friends and influencing people everywhere you look!
Blogs Banned By BlogRush
If pissed off bloggers make good friends, he's gonna have a ton of them before the week is out!
There are some pretty darned good blogs on this list!
Yeah, I got the "your account has been DEACTIVATED" email today too. But…it seems that I am in good company.
Not everyone who received their "pink slip" this morning was given a specific reason for being eliminated. I wasn't. Just the list of guidelines. I admit to being a wee tad cranky and I couldn't help but respond…
Don't take it personally??? Making my BlogRush account INACTIVE for unspecified reasons of your own sounds so "GOOGLE LIKE"…yet another Internet god is born! Not a great way to make friends and influence people!
Whatever blows your hair back. It's your baby and you DO HAVE THE POWER!
Best Regards An EX-BlogRush Fan…
Of course, maybe there is method to John's madness as posted on Internet Marketing Sucks.
But, if links are what it's all about, maybe we can all get a small piece of the pie by growing and passing around the above list of "Blogs Banned By BlogRush!"

If you want me to add your "benched blog" to my growing list, just shoot me a comment below!
Oh well…upward and onward!

Hi,
Actually, my Blog was not deactivated…I got the you are accepted letter…Even though I fought apparently a fruitless effort to escape BlogRush membership. I received notification from BlogRush on Sept. 29th that I had finally been removed after many emails and strong words. However, since my blog passed their "stringent" guidelines, I may very well still be a member, at least still in their database. I sent yet another email. You can see the acceptance letter in yesterdays post on my blog.
What a shoddy operation by a respected member of our community. Beta launching is one thing, but screwing up is another matter all together.

Perhaps it would be best if the quality blogs just left the system on their own, considering how worthless it has been…

Hi, they didn't delete my account just a few of my blogs from that account - don't know whether to be relieved or offended but am leaning towards offended!

It’s like wearing a patch on your shirt that says “blogrush” and then one day, they come along and tear the patch off your shirt and say “Your shirt is not good enough to have this patch on it.”
Who made them the judge and jury for what is a good blog and what is not-so-good.
I'm thinking of pulling the patch off myself!

Three of my blogs are accepted by blogrush and 4 aren't. All were when I first put them up, but when I moved them to their own URL's, they were no longer in favor. They never removed the same blogs with the same content at my blogger URLs.
It seems when a blog gets accepted it's in for life and you could do anything your heart desires with it without worry of being removed.
I'm beginning to feel like I wouldn't want to be a member of a club that would accept me…
