My New Year's Resolution

Over the years, I have had my fill of the relationships spent walking on "egg shells" trying to be careful not to upset a partner.

The fear of rejection often causes women to try to mold themselves in the image they think that their male companion will most approve of. Face it, most women aim to please in return for love and companionship.

Unfortunately, enough is never enough and eventually, they lose "who" they really are to what they are expected to be. It never works and eventually, inevitably, resentment creeps in.

So…

This year, I aim to be selfish and please myself!

After all, if you can't be loved for who you are, just the way you are, opinions, flaws and all…what's the point?

Here is to a new year full of happy, well adjusted, imperfect women!
