Prince Charles and Camilla - Have We Forgiven Them Yet?
I have just one question…
Have we finally forgiven Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles for
their past indiscretions?

Perhaps the most famous adulterers of this century, their long-term romance was 'unselfishly'
target="_blank">interrupted for 15 years by the Prince's marriage to Diana Spencer.
What a nice way of putting it!

A huge inconvenience for them to be sure, but, necessary in order to secure an "heir and a spare"
via the far more beautiful and suitable Lady Diana.

How tacky. But, mission accomplished and accomplished well.
Life goes on.

Seems to me that Diana kissed a prince who turned into a toad!

It would seem, based on the following article that I just found, Camilla pulls out of Diana memorial service, that all is not yet forgiven!
Camilla originally planned to attend Diana's memorial, but withdrew as public approval was not there.

I think I am more inclined to forget them than forgive them. What's to forgive? But I know I'd like to forever erase the sound of their voices talking dirty on the phone. Oh lordy lordy. TMI!

Thanks for stopping by…I totally agree! Unfortunately, it will never be forgotten.

Have "we" forgiven them…?!
OK, I understand the "forgiving" part is only a figure of speech (right?). Those who believe in God know that it's only His/Her/Its place to forgive anything; those who don't have only their own self-forgiveness to rely upon.
But still… "we"?
I for one don't recall ever resenting anyone in this awkward menage a… whatever. If anything, I find the love between Camilla and Charles truly romantic - and of course sad, for all those involved.
To be honest, I believe Diana could have said NO to Charles' proposal, had she really wanted to. Nothing earth-shattering would have occurred.
(But I am not "blaming" her either.)
As to the "voices talking dirty on the phone"… I didn't hear them (I chose not to), but I reckon the only dirty - really REALLY dirty - thing about the whole nasty affair is the fact that their very private conversation was made public.
(BTW, people talk like that every day in their private lives - and then they have the nerve to criticise two people who weren't even aware of "sharing" their intimacy with the entire world? Now THAT'S dirty too, at least in my book it is!)
I am not angry, even though I am sure it sounds like ti. I am just bemused by the fact that adults seem to find it difficult to understand that people will be people, regardless of the size or historic value of their residence - and that they have the right to be human.
And BTW, I only wish I could see more couples of Charles & Camilla's age being in love over such a long period of time…
